Salman Khan 'married' Asin: Salman Khan ‘married’ actress Asin earlier this week in a hush-hush ceremony in which her parents were not invited, according to the media down south.

As the evidence, a photograph of Salman dressed as a dulha and Asin as his new bride was splashed in the press reports. Quite obviously, a lot of people believed it and Asin was flooded with congratulatory calls and messages.

But the actress can’t stop laughing because it was a shoot for her film Ready with Salman Khan. In the scene, Asin marries Salman against her parent’s wishes. Apparently, someone thought she was getting married for real and published the story which was picked up by others in the media down south. In fact, the news of Asin’s marriage even reached her native place Kerala.

The ‘marriage’ has now become the source of constant jokes on the sets of Ready, with Salman teasing Asin and boasting to everyone that he’s finally married.

'Ready' Movie First Look: Salman Khan’s next film : From the bone-crushing action of Dabangg, Salman Khan now switches to comedy for director Anees Bazmee’s next film Ready.

The movie, starring Asin opposite Khan, is produced by Bhushan Kumar and is slated to release on May 27, 2011. It’s been partly shot in Sri Lanka for which there was a lot of protest down south in Tamil Nadu. Nowadays, the film is being shot in Mumbai.

Take Asin for example, the South superstar found it hard to get hear bearings in the industry despite Ghajini. Although Asin signed many lucrative endorsement deals, the same cannot be said about her movies.

So she’s gone back to doing films down South. She was given a Queen’s welcome by makers down South and this is when the lightbulb went off in her head.

She realised that many South blockbusters are being made into Bollywood Movies these days.

And Asin who has been a part of many of them is often the first choice for those films in Bollywood too. But other Bollywood Actresses often get the roles in the end.

So she is now busy convincing her contacts in the South to remake the films in Hindi with her.

Whether they will bite the bait or not, only time will tell but full marks to Asin for being enterprising.
